MY CLIENT WORK HAS BEEN FEATURED IN

“I have participated in several online workshops but they have never translated into giving me the skills I needed for pattern design. For me, watching a pre-recorded video to build my skills was not working. My learning style leans toward having someone walk me through the steps. Rebecca was clear and concise and she taught me her hard-earned tips in both Illustrator and photoshop. Her years of experience in the fashion and home goods industry give her a keen eye and deep knowledge of what is good design, what sells and the nitty gritty of file preparation.

It goes beyond the traditional scope of patterns, offering deep insights into how art can seamlessly integrate into various spaces, transforming them into bespoke environments. Artists joining us will discover new avenues to maximize the return on their creative investments, learning how their unique art can enhance spaces and be featured on products, thereby opening up fresh opportunities for their work. Our welcoming community is the perfect blend of creativity, passion, and professional insights, ideal for anyone eager to explore the transformative power of patterns and art in interiors.

  • A: It’s not required but can be helpful. If you’re coming from a slightly different background, just remember that you’ll get out of the course what you put in. Everyone’s journeys are going to be different and focusing on your own progress is the most important thing.

  • A: The class of 2024 will kick off the week of May 20th in our private Facebook group with casual meet-and-greet style interactions for everyone to get to know each other. We will officially kick off with orientation on Tuesday, May 28th at 8 AM PST This program runs for 6 months and will wrap on November 22nd.

  • A: All payment options include Lifetime Access to all of the course materials, downloads, and recordings, allowing you to revisit & review the full program as needed, long after the live sessions have ended.

  • A: While attendance isn’t required during any of the live sessions, it is recommended to try and make at least one of the live sessions each week as often as possible to get the full benefit from the coaching part of the program.

The schedule of live calls will be staggered, with the Zoom links emailed out each week and added to the class portal for easy access..

Within 24 hours of each live call, the recording will be added to the corresponding module in the course portal. Afterward, all recordings will be available for you to access at any time, directly within your course hub. Students have lifetime access to the course materials, and the content never expires, making it easy for you to engage when you're able and to revisit the material as often as you need.

While attending live sessions can be beneficial, we understand that it may not be possible for everyone due to time zone differences. That's why we provide access to recordings of all the live sessions, enabling you to watch them on your schedule.

  • A: Everyone learns differently, so please embrace working at the pace that’s best suited for you. There will be about 4 hours of live interaction a week. We will have a mix of weekly live coaching calls, Q&A style office hours, co-working sessions, critique-focused weeks, and guest speakers in the program. You don’t have to come to all of the live calls, but remember, you will get out of the course what you put in. Don’t think of this program as an additional item to accomplish – it’s designed to propel you and what you’re currently working on forward!

I recommend setting aside 3-5 hours a week, but you may find that you need more or less time, based on your specific situation. Find the rhythm that works best for you.

We will be adding precise schedule of dates and times for all events each month at the start of each module as we get closer to the start date. A Google calendar that you can subscribe to with all of the dates and times will be kept inside of the course.

  • A: The course is mostly self-paced for the speed at which you work through the material and it is not necessary to adhere to a strict schedule during the 6 month program. If you will be away and unable to participate at any time during the program, you will have access to all the recorded resources to study on your own time.

  • A: We will explore a variety of media, styles, and techniques to find out what is the right fit for you, whether it’s to help you evolve your existing style, develop something new, or decide to lean in and embrace your multi-passionate nature.

  • A: Yes, this course will cover industry business essentials, including mastering networking strategies and understanding contracts, which are crucial for pitching and licensing. We will also be focusing on market presence, pricing strategies, and sales as well as leveraging Pinterest and other marketing channels.

But it’s important to note that licensing is not the main focus of this program. One of the main goals of the program is to help each student determine what is the right path for them, and there are many options to choose from.

  • A: The critique sessions are designed to help you grow in this industry. Rebecca’s career is deeply rooted in the ability to take constructive criticism and use it to move the needle forward. Critiques are not meant to discourage you, but instead help you to achieve your goals. Understanding how to process feedback appropriately is critical in making that happen. This course will also help you elevate your critique style so you can help your peers as a result. Through course critiques you will learn how to improve your work and expand or focus your thought process, whether the feedback is directed at an actual piece you’re working on or just making decisions on a specific trajectory.

Each critique session will have 4-6 people to maximize the time and receive the most from the experience.

While it is recommended to participate in the critique sessions, no one will be forcing you to do anything against your will. If you don’t feel comfortable or ready to show your work in progress yet, there are other avenues that you can pursue by asking for feedback, consider using the time for more of a Q & A style interaction.

  • A: To ensure a comprehensive learning experience in the "Patterns for Interiors" course, it is recommended for participants to have the following:

  • A: In addition to creating art & surface pattern designs for interiors, outdoor spaces, and home decor products. What you learn in this course can be applied to several other fields - including apparel, crafting, stationery, and more. So don’t be afraid to explore and think beyond the framework of this course to make your journey your own.

  • A: This course will teach you to understand industry-specific business practices, and effectively use social media and digital tools for marketing the artwork you create. You’ll also gain skills in networking, negotiating contracts, and understanding market demands whether you decide to professionally pitch and license your designs, manufacture your products, or work with clients on a freelance basis.
